“We’re still here! Students you are the revolution. We are the revolution. This is not okay,” Scarr’s manager posted in an Instagram story.

The “Blackburn Takeover sit-in” has lasted for two weeks as students demand university President Wayne Frederick and the board of trustees solve the housing issue, according to Teen Vogue.

Students told Fox affiliate WTTG that they complained to the school’s administration about finding rats and roaches in their rooms on campus. Videos have surfaced online showing water spewing from damaged pipes and mildew growing out of air filters and ceilings in rooms.

In various statements, Howard has given updates on the current housing situation and claimed that it is working together with representatives of the Undergraduate Student Assembly to resolve the situation.
