John James to portray Biden in upcoming biopic ‘My Son Hunter’
John James is set to portray President Biden in an upcoming film about his son Hunter Biden, the Daily Mail reported.
The “Dynasty” actor was recently tapped for “My Son Hunter,” a biopic from conservative filmmakers Phelim McAleer and Ann McElhinney.
“‘The script has it all. Money, power, greed, sex, drugs, and alcohol,” James told the Daily Mail of his new project. “It kind of reminds me of ‘Dynasty.'”
James played the character Jeff Colby on the series, which ran from 1981 to 1989.
James called the “My Son Hunter” storyline, based on the relationship between the 46th president of the United States and his son, “an inside look at the world of politics.”
He added, “This is a common tale of a father’s ultimate love for his son, despite his major shortcomings.”
James, who recently starred in the 2020 film “Axcellerator,” will tackle the role of the commander in chief alongside British actor Laurence Fox, who will portray Hunter Biden.
“With John and Laurence, I think audiences will be riveted by Joe and Hunter’s relationship and come to understand the dynamics between father and son,” said biopic director Robert Davi.

The film, which started filming this week in Serbia, focuses on reports made by several news outlets ahead of the 2020 presidential election surrounding the younger Biden.
In an announcement about the project earlier this year, McAleer and McElhinney reportedly said, “The truth deserves to be told and it needs to be seen by as many people as possible. An entertaining and enjoyable movie is the best way to [do that].”
They added, “If the media won’t do their jobs, we’ll do it for them.”
