Lady Gaga says she wore bulletproof dress to Biden inauguration

Lady Gaga says she sported a bulletproof dress while performing at President Biden’s inauguration in January.

The “Stupid Love” singer performed the national anthem at Biden’s swearing-in, held just weeks after the deadly Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol.

“That has to be one of the proudest days of my whole life,” the 35-year-old pop star and “House of Gucci” actor told British Vogue in an interview published Tuesday for its November issue.

“Singing in a Schiaparelli bulletproof dress,” she said of her gown, which featured a giant dove brooch.

“I don’t know if people know this about me, but if I weren’t who I am today, I would have been a combat journalist,” said the entertainer, who was born Stefani Germanotta. “That was one of my dreams. When I was at the Capitol, the day before the inauguration, I remember walking around and looking for evidence of the insurrection.”

Gaga blasted then-President Trump while campaigning for Biden during the 2020 White House race. Trump, she said last year at a Biden rally, “believes his fame gives him the right to grab” women.

She told British Vogue of her inaugural experience, “Like many people in America, I felt a deep fear when Trump was president, and ushering 45 out and 46 in is something I’ll be able to tell my children all about.”
