LL Cool J to host National Christmas Tree lighting

LL Cool J is heading up a holiday tradition — hosting the National Christmas Tree lighting in Washington.
The “Headsprung” rapper and actor was announced as emcee of the annual event on Monday.
Billy Porter, H.E.R., Patti LaBelle, Chris Stapleton, Kristin Chenoweth, Maren Morris, Juanes and Keb’ Mo’ are also poised to appear at the Dec. 2 lighting ceremony on the Ellipse.
The tree is traditionally lit by the president.
The festivities will be back in person this year after going virtual in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The event will air on CBS on Dec. 5.
