Doja Cat dropping out of tour after positive COVID-19 test
Rapper Doja Cat announced Sunday she has dropped out of the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour after testing positive.
“I’m sad to share that I just tested positive as well and will no longer be able to perform on the rest of the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour,” Doja Cat said in a statement posted on her social media. “While my spirits are down since I can’t be there to celebrate the holiday with my fans in Philly, DC, Atlanta and Miami, I’m doing ok and look forward to recovering and getting back out there as soon as I can!”

This is the second time the “Say So” singer, who has in the past been accused of participating in racist online conversations, has tested positive for COVID-19.
Doja Cat told media outlet Captial Xtra in July 2020 that she was diagnosed and recovered from the virus, adding she’s unsure how she contracted it.
Earlier that year, during an Instagram Live on her verified account, the singer told fans that she isn’t afraid of the coronavirus, calling it a “flu.”
“It’s a flu,” she told her followers. “You just take some Mucinex (a cold and flu medication) and drink water and tea and sleep. That’s all you gotta do.”
