Amid buzz about Sarah Palin's plans for 2012, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R) — once considered the most likely frontrunner for the GOP nomination — connected with her on Twitter Monday in a message about her new book.

"Thanks @SarahPalinUSA for the kind words in your new book about the role of faith in public life," he said. "Hope it's a bestseller."

According to reports, Palin's book discusses Romney, a Mormon, in a section on religion and public life, and praises him for embracing his faith while campaigning for the GOP presidential nomination in 2008.

Her first book, Going Rogue, has sold more than 2 million copies. The second, America by Heart, comes out on Tuesday.
