".@PiersMorgan — Looking forward to being on Monday's show. Will try and have as much fun as @ChristineOD did," Huntsman tweeted Friday.
Former Delaware Senate candidate and Tea Party favorite Christine O'Donnell walked out of an interview with Morgan on Wednesday after Morgan pressed her to talk about her opinions on gay marriage.
Hollywood star Wilson took note of Huntsman's global warming tweet on Thursday, which Huntsman sent following Texas Gov. Rick Perry's comments indicating he has doubts despite scientific consensus that humans are contributing to global warming.
"Wait. Yr a republican?" Wilson, best known for playing the character Dwight Schrute, tweeted in response.
Huntsman tweeted back Friday, "I'm proud to be Republican, party of [Abraham] Lincoln, Teddy [Roosevelt], [Ronald] Reagan."
Huntsman also posed a question to Wilson in return that might reveal another music preference of the former Utah governor's: "Any relation to Brian Wilson?"
Huntsman was still awaiting a reply from Wilson on Friday morning.
