Mary Pat Lawrence has joined Allstate as vice president of federal legislative and regulatory affairs. She will lead the company’s Washington office. She began on Tuesday and comes from Dentons US, where she was a lobbyist for clients including Allstate and the Credit Union National Association. Allstate says it will retain Dentons as an outside firm. Before going to Dentons, Lawrence was a vice president and counsel at Van Scoyoc Associates.

Venn Strategies has hired Dayle Cristinzio as a senior vice president. Prior to that, she was a senior director at West Health. In the public sector, she worked for Sens. Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.). 

{mosads}•The insurance company MetLife promoted several members of its lobbying team. Heather Wingate will become senior vice president, head of global government relations. She has been with the company since 2012. Susan Greenwell will be senior vice president, head of international government relations, covering the Middle East, Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America. Jason Cole, formerly vice president, will become the head of federal government relations. 

Public Strategies Washington hired Chris Vieson, an aide to former House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.), as a partner. He worked as the director of floor operations for Cantor, who recently lost his seat in a primary election. Before that, he served in the Republican whip office, where he worked for both Cantor and then-Rep. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.).

The Association of Government Relations Professionals, formerly known as the American League of Lobbyists, named Robert Hay Jr. as its new executive director, replacing Danielle Staudt. He currently serves as the associate director of large staff and government relations at ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership. He also works in the organization’s public policy department.

California Healthcare Institute named Meghan Drenan as associate director of federal government relations; she will be based in the group’s Washington office. Drenan comes from the office of Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Mich.), where she has served for the last five years.
