FINANCIAL SERVICES. The American Bankers Association signed up with its 15th outside lobby firm, as the group looks to tackle cybersecurity. Law firm Morrison & Foerster will be handling data breach and privacy issues for the trade association. 

HEALTHCARE. Health Policy Source Inc. registered two new clients: Conifer Health Solutions and the Federation of State Medical Boards. For Conifer, the firm will be working on issues regarding the 10th revision of the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems — also known as ICD-10 — a volume of codes for diseases, symptoms and external causes of injury or illness put out by the World Health Organization. And for the Federation of State Medical Boards, lobbyists will be working on “Interstate Licensing Compact and telemedicine issues involving federal healthcare programming,” according to Dan Boston, an executive vice president and partner at the firm.

Chris Vieson, who held many roles in the Republican majority, will help push for a national instant criminal background check and work on domestic violence issues, according to disclosure firms. 

CONTRACTING. SES Government Solutions, which handles commercial satellite operations, registered an in-house lobbyist to work on issues regarding “acquisition reform related to commercial satellite communications and spectrum issues. This includes efforts related to Congressional language and Department of Defense and Intelligence Community acquisition reform,” according to lobbying records. Jeffrey Rowlison recently started lobbying for SES after having served as the congressional budget and appropriations liaison for the Air Force.
