Bayer has hired the lobbying firm the Russell Group to work on implementation of the National Bioengineered Food Disclosure Standard, the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 and the Pesticide Registration Improvement Extension Act of 2018, according to disclosures. Tyson Redpath, onetime legislative assistant to former Speaker John BoehnerJohn Andrew BoehnerFeehery: How GOP takes back the House in two years Warren, Brown voice support for controversial Biden budget office pick Principles to unify America MORE (R-Ohio), and Andrew Harker, who worked on the House Agriculture Committee, will be on the account.

HEALTH. Johnson & Johnson, based in New Jersey, hired Arlington consulting firm 10-Square Solutions to work on Department of Veterans Affairs surgical reform efforts. Mike Copher, the former staff director of the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee, will work on the account. 

TOBACCO. RAI Service Company, which works on tobacco, snuff, vapor and related products, also hired 10-Square Solutions to work on education related to Food and Drug Administration reform, deeming regulation and harm reduction. Copher will also work on this account. 


MEDICAL DEVICES. Cavarocchi Ruscio Dennis Associates signed with North Carolina-based company Lucerno Dynamics to work on appropriations, health care and nuclear medicine. Lucerno Dynamics is a medical device company working to improve nuclear medicine, according to disclosures. Matthew Dennis, the former communications director of the House Appropriations Committee, will work on the account. 

MUSIC LICENSING. The music company iHeartMedia Inc. hired Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough to lobby on music licensing issues. David Wilkins, the U.S. ambassador to Canada from 2005 to 2009, will work on the account.
