TRANSPORTATION. Global transportation risk management company Lytx recently hired Elevate Government Affairs to work on issues related to truck safety, use of analytical data, privacy concerns, autonomous vehicles and other trucking-related issues, according to disclosures. Samuel Whitehorn, former senior counsel on the Senate Commerce Committee; Robert Chamberlin, former chief counsel on the Senate Commerce Committee; Julie Hrdlicka, former associate director of the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Governmental Affairs in the Transportation Department; and Max Rosen, former research assistant on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee on Aviation, will work on the account.

The Download Fairness Coalition hired Elevate Government Affairs to work on issues related to taxation of digital goods, including the Digital Goods and Services Tax Fairness Act. Whitehorn, Chamberlin and Rosen will work on the account 

Air Methods Corporation, a Colorado-based company that works in the air medical industry, also hired Elevate Government Affairs to work on issues related to the Airline Deregulation Act, health care, and the provision of emergency services to communities across the country. Whitehorn, Chamberlin and Hrdlicka will work on the account.

Signal Group Consulting LLC, on behalf of CompTIA Member Services, also hired Elevate Government Affairs to work on issues related to the internet of things and emerging technologies. Whitehorn will also work on the account.

TELECOMMUNICATIONS. Airspan Networks Inc., a Florida-based telecommunications equipment supplier, hired Carmen Group Incorporated to work on the deployment of 5G telecommunications equipment. Carmen Group CEO and founder David Carmen will work on the account.
