• Tom Crawford has become the head of FTI Consulting’s global advisory practice, a new entity housed within the firm’s strategic communications arm, based in Washington. Crawford originally joined FTI Consulting in 2013, serving as the Americas head of government relations. Before that, he was a founding partner of C2 Group, a public affairs and lobbying firm that FTI Consulting purchased in 2013.

• The Engine Advocacy and Research Foundation hired Jennifer Fox to serve as the manager of external affairs. She comes from the National Restaurant Association, where she served as the manager of political advocacy and engagement. She’s also held posts at George Washington University and in the Obama White House.

• Mark Dann has been named the director of governmental affairs at Secular Coalition for America. Prior to that, he worked as the federal affairs director at Compassion & Choices, an end-of-life advocacy group. Dunn has also served as a democracy development consultant with the National Democratic Institute in Moldova and Iraq.

• The former chief of staff for Rep. Mike GallagherMichael (Mike) John GallagherBipartisan House group introduces bills to stall Syria, South Korea troop withdrawals House passes bill expressing support for NATO Lobbying World MORE (R-Wis.), McKay Daniels, has become the chief operating officer for the National Roofing Contractors Association. 

• James Adams has left Signal Group and has become a public affairs consultant at global public affairs shop APCO Worldwide.

• Effective at the beginning of next year, Bob Wood will assume the role as CEO of BGR Group, a lobbying and public relations firm. He now serves as the president of its lobbying arm, BGR Government Affairs. He previously served as chief of staff to former Health and Human Services Secretary Tommy Thompson. Current BGR Group CEO Lanny Griffith will become chairman of the firm once Wood takes over.
