TECHNOLOGY. Analytics company SAS Institute Inc. recently hired Compass Strategies over issues related to the use of analytical software and for issues related to use of software to improve supply chain management and logistics, according to disclosures. Joseph Penkala, the firm’s president and CEO, among others, will work on the account.

 TRANSPORTATION. Carma Technology Corp hired Pavluchuk & Associates to lobby on tolling and high-occupancy toll lane issues. Founder Jason Pavluchuk, formerly at Government Relations Inc., will work on the account.

The Coalition for Smarter Transportation also hired Pavluchuk & Associates to lobby on reauthorization of the FAST Act, which is set to expire at the end of 2020 and funds more than $305 billion for surface transportation, including highways, over its five-year span. Pavluchuk will also work on that account.

Car rental and transportation services company Enterprise Holdings also hired Pavluchuk & Associates to work on a number of issues, including an infrastructure bill and on protecting private businesses in Failure to Appear programs, which penalize individuals for failing to appear in court. Pavluchuk will work on the account.
