• The National Confectioners Association (NCA) promoted Dan Shorts, an integral member of its lobbying team, to director of government affairs. He was previously senior manager of government affairs. The NCA also hired Amy Buglass as manager of web technology, James Gleason as content manager and Lynn Wylie as senior director of industry affairs. The additions to the public affairs and communications team are part of the NCA dramatically increasing its presence in Washington in recent years. 

Victoria Marum is a vice president in Cornerstone Government Affairs’s national security practice. She previously was the U.S. Navy’s legislative liaison to the House.

Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America hired Cody Tucker as a senior director on the federal affairs team, where he will lobby both chambers of Congress and executive branch agencies.
