• FINANCE. Venture capital and private equity firm Intellectual Ventures Management hired Millennial GR & Public Affairs Partners to work on intellectual property, science and technology issues. Founder and President Phillip Thomas Wallace, former government affairs manager at Hyundai Motor Company, will work on the account. 

• OIL. Texas-based oil and gas services and solutions company Production Technology and Services Inc. hired Mayer Brown to lobby on issues related to innovative technologies and multihull vessels. Former Rep. Toby Moffett (D-Conn.) will work on the account.

• Mayer Brown was also hired by the City of Los Angeles Harbor Department to work on issues related to the Harbor Maintenance Tax. Moffett will also work on the account.

• TRADEMARKS. The International Franchise Association hired Hobart Hallaway & Quayle Ventures to lobby on issues related to the Trademark Licensing Protection Act. Robert Hobart, former deputy chief of staff to former Rep. Zach Wamp (R-Tenn.); Rashid Hallaway, former legislative assistant to ex-Sen. Evan Bayh (D-Ind.); and former Rep. Benjamin Quayle (R-Ariz.) will work on the account.

• HOUSING. Union Home Mortgage Corp., an independent mortgage bank, registered to lobby on topics and issues affecting mortgage lending, including but not limited to GSE reform, consumer information privacy and matters affecting Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, the Veterans Affairs Department and the Agriculture Department, among other issues. The company’s chief compliance officer, Kelley Grealis, a former vice president at PNC Financial Services Group, is on the registration.
