Lowenstein Sandler announced that partner Zarema A. Jaramillo will be the head of the Washington, D.C., office, effective Jan. 1. She is currently a partner in the antitrust and trade regulation practice and replaces Jeff Blumenfeld, who has led the D.C. office for five years.

David S. Slovick joined Barnes & Thornburg’s D.C. office as a partner in the firm’s litigation department. He previously was counsel at Cahill Gordon & Reindel in New York and before that was a senior attorney at the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Alston & Bird named Richard Slowinski an international tax partner in the D.C. office. He previously worked at Baker McKenzie for over 28 years.
