Goff previously was director of public policy at Aflac Inc. for more than 2 1/2 years. Before that, she was vice president of policy at EmblemHealth and vice president of product policy at America’s Health Insurance Plans.

Josh Caron was promoted to vice president of legislative affairs at the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting/General Agents and Managers Association (AALU/GAMA) from his previous position as assistant vice president of political affairs. Before AALU/GAMA, he was a community organizer in 2012 for Obama for America. AALU/GAMA also promoted Jennifer Fox to assistant vice president of political affairs. She previously was political affairs manager. Before joining the organization she was manager of political advocacy and engagement at the National Restaurant Association.

Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions hired Ruben Verastigui as digital communication manager. He previously served as director of digital strategy for the Senate Republican Conference for more than a year. Before that, he was senior designer for the Republican National Committee.

Leroy Nix was named director of market strategy for Southern Company Gas. He previously was director of federal government affairs. Before that he was corporate affairs manager at Alabama Power Company.
