The American Association of Nurse Practitioners named Jon Fanning as its new CEO, effective March 1. He is currently chief strategy officer at the American Psychiatric Association, where he has worked for more than seven years. Before that, he spent over 13 years at the American Medical Association.

Laura Dove was promoted to manager of federal affairs at Ford Motor Co. Ford also promoted Rachel McCleery to a director position on the government relations team. She previously was Ford’s government and public policy communications manager and before that was chief communications adviser and deputy policy director for Democrats on the Senate Finance Committee. During the Obama administration, she was a spokeswoman for the Treasury Department.

Caroline Ponseti, former director of media relations at the American Gaming Association, is now a director at The Herald Group. Ponseti was at the American Gaming Association for nearly three years after serving as press secretary for Republicans on the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee.

Public affairs firm ROKK Solutions hired Rachael Payton as a senior account executive. She previously was senior media relations supervisor at BCW Global.
