David Strickland will join General Motors Co. as vice president of global regulatory affairs. Strickland most recently served as Democratic staff director of the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee and previously served as head of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration during the Obama administration.
Greg Gierer joined the Better Medicare Alliance, which advocates for Medicare Advantage, as vice president of policy and research. He most recently was senior vice president of policy at America’s Health Insurance Plans and previously served as a legislative assistant to former Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Conn.).
Eva Kemp joined Precision Strategies as a vice president on its paid media team. Kemp previously served as a special assistant to the president and director of presidential correspondence in the Biden White House.
Narrative Strategies hired Tyler Hernandez as a director. Hernandez most recently served as senior adviser for policy and external affairs at the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation. He previously served as communications director for Sen. Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.).
The National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies promoted Andrew Huff to assistant vice president of federal and political affairs. Huff joined the group as federal affairs manager in 2015 and previously served as Republican professional staff member for the House Small Business Committee.
The Recording Academy promoted Todd Dupler to vice president of advocacy and public policy. Dupler joined the music industry group as director of government relations in 2012. He previously served as a senior adviser to the Labor Department’s Wage and Hour Division under former President George W. Bush.
