Elon Musk has joined the legion of celebrities and high-profile public figures calling to “Free Britney” amid her conservatorship battle.

The tech billionaire took to Twitter on Monday to tweet, “Free Britney.”

Britney Spears made a public appeal for the first time on June 23 during a 24-minute testimony to a Los Angeles judge in which she pleaded for the court to put an end to her conservatorship. Britney Spears has been under a conservatorship for over a decade, controlled by her father Jamie Spears, due to mental health struggles.

During her testimony, the pop star cited being forced into performances, having her medications changed, being unable to access her own finances and being forced to have an IUD implanted so that she cannot become pregnant again.

A judge ruled against removing her father from her conservatorship on Wednesday; however, the ruling is not a direct response to her testimony, but rather a previous request.

Musk is one of several high-profile figures who have proclaimed their support for the pop star since her testimony, including Halsey, Mariah Carey, Rose McGowan, Justin Timberlake and numerous others.
