Some of the most expensive regular season tickets in Major League Baseball history will take fans to a cornfield in Iowa.

Tickets for the so-called Field of Dreams game, based on the Kevin Costner classic, are reportedly available for a maximum of around $4,000. The average ticket price sits around $1,400.

A makeshift baseball diamond in Dyersville, Iowa, will host the New York Yankees and Chicago White Sox and up to 8,000 fans Thursday, after COVID-19 disrupted the planned 2020 event.

“Tickets for the Field of Dreams Game on Thursday with the #Yankees and #WhiteSox are the most expensive regular-season tickets on record, per http://TickPick.com,” USA Today columnist Bob Nightengale posted on Twitter. “The average purchase price is $1,413.63. The ‘get-in” price is $1,316 with tickets going as high as $3,972.”

The league began working with several companies — BaAM Productions, Populous and Brightview — in 2015 to develop the classic field, the Telegraph Herald reported.

“It’s all about converting these spaces, transforming these spaces into really special places and creating that magic for the fans and keeping the essence of that Field of Dreams story alive,” BaAM Director of Communications Aimee Roy told the Telegraph Herald.

Both teams will don custom uniforms for the game in the classic park resembling Comiskey Park — the old White Sox stadium, according to NJ Advance Media. Outside the stadium, fans will find a corn maze outlined like the league’s batter logo.

The nationally televised game is scheduled to air on Fox at 6 p.m. CDT on Thursday.
