The data was then broken down to reflect the number of “hate tweets” per state targeting a particular team. Dallas comfortably collected the most states, with eight — a majority in the Northeast, where the team's division rivals are located.
The defending Super Bowl-champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers, led by legendary quarterback Tom Brady, tied for second most hated team with the Green Bay Packers, each earning six states.
The Las Vegas Raiders and the Philadelphia Eagles rounded out the top five most hated teams with five and four states respectively.
Three organizations sat at the bottom of the list as the least hated teams with one state apiece: the Chicago Bears, Los Angeles Chargers and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Wisconsin, home of Chicago’s arch rival, the Green Bay Packers, was the only state that fired off more hate toward the 3-3 Bears than any other state.
