A pair of Michael Jordan’s game-worn sneakers sold for a record-breaking amount at auction on Saturday.

“The most valuable sneakers ever offered at auction—Michael Jordan's regular season game-worn Nike Air Ships from 1984—have just sold at $1,472,000 in our luxury sale in Las Vegas,” auction house Sotheyby’s wrote on Twitter.

The sneakers broke the record for the most expensive pair of game-worn shoes.

The size 13 Nike Air Ships are autographed by Jordan and were worn during his fifth NBA game on Nov. 1, 1984. While in good condition overall, the sneakers do show signs of wear by the NBA legend.

The sneakers are authenticated and were originally gifted to Denver Nuggets ball boy Tommie Tim III Lewis.

The winning bidder has not identified themselves at this time.
