Marvel actor reportedly dies after skiing accident

Marvel actor Gaspard Ulliel reportedly died on Wednesday at age 37 following a skiing accident in the French Alps.  

Agence France-Presse reported the French actor was airlifted to a hospital with a head injury following a collision on Tuesday, and he did not recover, according to Deadline 

Ulliel is set to star alongside Ethan Hawke and Oscar Isaac in Marvel’s Disney+ series “Moon Knight,” scheduled for release in March. The two-time César Award winner played young  Hannibal Lecter in “Hannibal Rising” and Yves Saint Laurent in “Saint Laurent.”

“Gaspard Ulliel grew up with cinema and cinema grew up with him. They loved each other madly,” French Prime Minister Jean Castex wrote on Twitter Wednesday. 

“It’s with a heavy heart that we will rewatch his most beautiful performances and catch his unique gaze. We have lost a French actor.”
