The Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement has voiced its support for the Palestinians as the deadly conflict between Israel and Hamas militants has intensified.
“Black Lives Matter stands in solidarity with Palestinians,” the group announced from its official Twitter page Monday.

The Palestinian-led BDS movement, a group that has called for an economic embargo against Israel, replied thanking the social movement that has protested against incidents of police brutality and racially motivated violence in the U.S. over the years.
“From Ferguson to Palestine, our struggles against racism, white supremacy and for a just world are united!” BDS tweeted in reply.
The ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, the militant group the U.S. has designated a terrorist organization that controls the Gaza Strip, is now in its second week and shows no signs of slowing down.
Hamas has fired thousands of rockets at Israel, most of which have been intercepted by Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system.
The Israeli military has responded with aerial bombings in Gaza that have left more than 200 Palestinians dead, compared with at least 12 Israelis.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday said he was “determined to continue” military operations against Hamas in the Gaza Strip shortly after a call with President Biden who told Netanyahu he expected “a significant de-escalation today on the path to a ceasefire.”
