A forthcoming book by Chris Cuomo has been dropped by HarperCollins Publishers, The New York Post reported.

Chris Cuomo was fired from CNN over the weekend following a suspension from the cable news company after an investigation by New York State Attorney General Letitia James found he helped his brother, former New York State Gov. Andrew Cuomo, respond to allegations of sexual misconduct.

The book, “Deep Denial,” was slated to be published on Dec. 15 of next year, according to Deadline which described the book as “a provocative analysis of the harsh truths that the pandemic and Trump years have exposed about America—about our strength and our character—and a roadmap of the work needed to make our ideals match reality.”

“I can confirm that we don’t intend to publish the book,” a spokesperson for HarperCollins told The Post.

The canceled book deal follows the anchor’s announcement on Monday that he will be leaving his show on SiriusXM radio.

“The way my time ended at CNN was hard. While I have thick skin, I also have a family, for whom the past week has been extraordinarily difficult. So right now, I have to take a step back and focus on what comes next. That means I will no longer be doing my SiriusXM radio show. I am extremely grateful for the support I have received from SiriusXM throughout my time there. I also want to express my sincere appreciation for my loyal listeners. I will miss our conversations a great deal—but I look forward to being back in touch with you all in the future,” said Chris Cuomo in a statement.

A spokesperson for Chris Cuomo did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
