Ford Motor acquired Electriphi, an electric vehicle (EV) fleet and energy management solutions company that saves energy costs, in a move to become a more inclusive destination for clean energy.
The move comes at a time when automakers like Ford, whose latest premium vehicles are the F-150 and the F-150 Lightning Pro, are investing big on an all-electric vehicle marketplace.
According to the company, Electriphi’s existing team and services will be part of Ford Pro, the company's commercial customer productivity service.
“As commercial customers add electric vehicles to their fleets, they want depot charging options to make sure they’re powered up and ready to go to work every day,” Ford Pro CEO Ted Cannis said in a release. “With Electriphi’s existing advanced technology IP in the Ford Pro electric vehicles and services portfolio, we will enhance the experience for commercial customers and be a single-source solution for fleet-depot charging.”
EVs have grown in popularity, and by 2024 the EV charging station market is expected to reach a compound annual growth rate of 38 percent, according to Bloomberg New Energy Finance,

They now need solutions that enable a seamless transition to electric vehicles,” Electriphi CEO and co-founder Muffi Ghadiali said in a release. “Our synergies with Ford Pro will supercharge this transition. We’ll delight customers by helping them reap the benefits of electrification, so they can focus on what matters most – running their businesses effectively.”
Ford Pro, which features Ford+, offers a digital and physical services to buy EV, hybrid and internal combustion vehicles, including trucks and vans. Another feature of Ford Pro is to provide charging stations for the public, depot-charging solutions for on-site commercial solutions for at-home charging and communication with customer service experts who will manage and maintain one's vehicle.
