Elon Musk considers combining SpaceX, Tesla, Neuralink and Boring under a parent company called ‘X’

SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk suggested his support for bringing together all of his companies under a single parent name.

In response to a tweet suggesting he form a parent company called “X,” Musk said he agreed bringing his companies Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink and The Boring Company together beneath “X” was a good idea.

 

 

Each of Musk’s companies is centered around innovating transportation and its infrastructure, space travel and exploration, and even human-computer interfaces.

Musk recently made headlines for divulging that he attempted to sell Tesla to Apple CEO Tim Cook. 

Tesla is the only one of Musk’s companies that is publicly traded.

Another tech company, Alphabet, Inc., was a result of restructuring Google to create a larger umbrella company. It’s subsidiaries include Google, Waymo, Sidewalk Labs and others.
