Former Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos is reportedly investing in the anti-aging research startup Altos Labs. 

Altos Labs, which was founded earlier in 2021, has pursued an array of scientists — with reportedly generous salary offers — who will be given the freedom to research the aging process and how to reverse it, MIT Technology Review reported

Altos was incorporated in Delaware this year, and a securities disclosure filed in California in June indicates the company has raised at least $270 million, according to the MIT Technology Review. The company reportedly plans to establish institutes in a variety of locales, including the San Francisco Bay Area; San Diego; Cambridge, U.K.; and Japan. 

Changing America reached out to Bezos’ investment office Bezos Expeditions for comment.

The 57-year-old reportedly previously invested in anti-aging company Unity Biotechnology.

Bezos left his role at Amazon in July to pursue other projects, including initiatives at his space company Blue Origin where his New Shepard Rocket successfully completed a sub-orbital flight in July. 

Bloomberg’s Billionaire's Index currently lists Bezos as the world’s richest person with a net worth of approximately $202 billion.
