Russian President Vladimir Putin is in self-isolation after revealing that several members of his staff and inner circle have contracted COVID-19.

“Cases of coronavirus have been identified in my immediate environment, and this is not one, not two, but several tens of people,” Putin said via video link, according to The Associated Press. “Now we have to observe the self-isolation regime for several days.”

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said none of the cases are severe at this time and that Putin is fully vaccinated against the coronavirus.

According to Our World in Data, less than 30 percent of Russia’s population is fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
