Italian police have arrested a nurse for allegedly faking COVID-19 vaccinations on at least 45 people who were seeking to obtain health passes.  

Police in Ancona filmed the man squirting the contents of syringes into a medical waste can before applying a bandage on the individuals to allegedly avoid suspicion, The Associated Press reported 

Police additionally placed four others involved in the scheme under house arrest on suspicion that they sought out clients willing to pay to circumvent vaccine policies with faked shots.  

The 45 people who are suspected of receiving the fraudulent jabs are required to check in with authorities each day and are prohibited from leaving their cities while under investigation, according to the outlet. They are each accused of corruption, falsifying information and embezzlement.
