Full interview: Democratic candidate J.D. Scholten talks about his run against Steve King in Iowa's 4th Congressional District

Despite his propensity for attracting negative attention, however, King has generally had a relatively easy time getting re-elected by local voters. This year, King is facing a new Democratic opponent, J.D. Scholten, a former professional baseball player.
