GOP strategist says Mueller's report should be made available to the public
Republican strategist Daniel Turner told Hill.TV on Thursday that special counsel Robert Mueller's final report on the Russia investigation must be made available to the public.
"It's been two years plus of this. I think we need to move on," Turner, executive director of energy advocacy organization Power the Future, told Hill.TV's Buck Sexton and Krystal Ball on "Rising."
"Really, put everything out there because there's an awful lot of information that people on the right would say, 'What about the origins of the dossier? What about the collusion of the previous administration,' " he continued, referring to questions surrounding the partially unverified dossier about possible connections between President Trump and Russia.
"If we're going to put everything out there, let's put everything out there," he said.
The Washington Post and CNN reported on Wednesday that Mueller's final report on the investigation could be nearing an end.
The Post also reported that Mueller may deliver his report next week to newly minted Attorney General William Barr, while CNN reported that Barr could announce the conclusion of Mueller's probe as soon as next week.
Mueller is required to submit a report to the attorney general at the conclusion of his investigation, but the report is not required to be made public.
