Investigative reporter discusses Megyn Kelly's interview with Tara Reade

Investigative reporter Rich McHugh on Friday went into detail about the new sit-down interview that former Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly did with Tara Reade, who has alleged that former Vice President Joe BidenJoe BidenFacebook, Twitter CEOs to testify before Senate Judiciary Committee on Nov. 17 Sanders hits back at Trump's attack on 'socialized medicine' Senate GOP to drop documentary series days before election hitting China, Democrats over coronavirus MORE sexually assaulted her in 1993 when she worked as a Senate staffer for him.

McHugh, who produced the interview, said that Kelly, who is not currently affiliated with a news network, was the perfect person to do the interview.

"She was a victim of sexual harassment herself, so she can bring a certain empathy to someone who's potentially a victim of sexual harassment and assault," he told Hill.TV.

He added: "She's also a lawyer and she processed and she went through the questions very systematically in a way that only she could."
