Morning Consult editor on how faith in vaccines is falling amid coronavirus pandemic

Morning Consult Senior Editor Matt Bracken joined Hill.TV's "Rising" on Tuesday to discuss polling trends indicating a dip in U.S. adults' faith regarding an eventual COVID-19 vaccine.

Bracken said that the decline is attributable to many factors, including President TrumpDonald John TrumpJudge rules to not release Russia probe documents over Trump tweets Trump and advisers considering firing FBI director after election: WaPo Obama to campaign for Biden in Florida MORE's recent comments asserting that a vaccine could be ready before Election Day.

"We saw a new dip in August, and that I think can be traced a little bit more clearly to partisan leanings," Bracken said. "We've seen Democrats, in particular, take a big dive over the past month, and that's when you saw the president, for example, promising a vaccine multiple times, possibly before the election."
