Steve Cortes told co-hosts Krystal Ball and Saagar Enjeti that the campaign is bullish on its chances in both Wisconsin and Pennsylvania -- two states that Trump won in 2016 but where polling shows Democratic nominee has the advantage.

"Look, we're not complacent anywhere. We don't want to be cocky or arrogant but we are confident in Pennsylvania," Cortes said.

"We think we're really competitive in Wisconsin. I honestly hope that our opponents...believe that they're up 17 [percentage points,] because that's preposterous," Cortes added, referring to an ABC News/Washington Post poll released Wednesday.

A RealClearPolitics average of state polls in Wisconsin show Biden with a 6.7 point lead.
