Film director describes how teenagers persuaded Mike Gravel to run for president

Director Skye Wallin described to Hill.TV how three teenagers played a key role in launching former Sen. Mike Gravel’s (D-Alaska) 2020 White House bid.

Wallin, whose “American Gadfly” documentary follows Gravel’s long-shot candidacy, described how three teenagers convinced Gavel to run for president, and that the teens “popularized him in a new way.”

“This film doesn’t ignore the seriousness of so many of the problems that the whole world faces, but it shows these kids who kind of deal with it – with fun, with grace,” Wallin said.

Gravel previously ran for president in 2008.
