Poll: Plurality of voters prefer in-person over virtual debates

More voters prefer in person debates over a virtual option, a new Hill-HarrisX poll finds.

Forty-one percent of registered voters in the Oct. 13-14 survey said the remaining presidential debates should be in person.

By contrast, 34 percent of respondents said they should be virtual.

One quarter said there shouldn't be any more debates all together.

Half of Democratic voters, 50 percent, said they should be virtual while 64 percent of Republican voters said they should be in-person.

Four in ten independent respondents favored in person debates over virtual ones.

The Hill-HarrisX poll was conducted online among 951 registered voters between Oct. 13 and 14. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.18 percentage points.
