COMING LATER TODAY -- ISIS TASK FORCE FINDINGS: A House Republican task force has concluded that military intelligence was manipulated to paint an unrealistically optimistic picture of the United States' fight against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. Mike Pompeo (R-Kan.), a member of the task force.

HEWITT: I think you meant Obama created the vacuum that led to ISIS. TRUMP: "No, I meant he's the founder of ISIS."

FRESH MEAT FOR THE CAMPAIGN: Via The Hill's Reid Wilson, Hillary Clinton's campaign is investing in states that have not voted for a Democratic candidate for a generation, part of a national effort to bolster other Democrats who will share November's ballot. Specifically: Georgia, Arizona, Utah and an Omaha-based congressional district where the campaign hopes to pick up a single electoral vote.

SEE, BEING PRESIDENT SOUNDS LIKE A BLAST RIGHT OUT OF THE GATE!: Via The Hill's Sarah Ferris, the next president could be dealing with an ObamaCare insurer meltdown in his or her very first month. Why: The incoming administration start work just as the latest ObamaCare enrollment tally comes in, delivering a potentially crucial verdict about the still-shaky healthcare marketplaces.

FASCINATING READ -- GOOD THING YOU DIDN'T TAKE TRUMP'S INSULTS PERSONALLY: In a Marie Claire piece, NBC's Katy Tur described her year on the road covering Donald Trump's presidential campaign -- or "Little Katy" as Trump liked to mockingly call her. An example: Secret Service agents once had to walk her to her car after Trump incited a crowd against her at a rally.

WHERE'S THE 'FIGHT SONG' FOR HILLZ?!: President Obama released his summer song playlists. Here are his daytime jams: And his summer night songs:

I SWEAR TO GOD, DONALD.: Via Time's Zeke Miller, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus reportedly told Donald Trump last week that if he didn't change the direction of his presidential campaign, the party would instead focus more on down-ballot races. "Priebus told Trump that he would have been better off had he spent the days since the Republican convention at his Mar-a-Lago Club, officials said." Ooouuuch. Trump, though, denies this conversation ever happened.
