Donald Trump is upping his push for waterboarding terror suspects after an apparent attack in Istanbul.

“We can’t do waterboarding, but they can do chopping off heads, drowning people in steel cages, they can do whatever they want to do,” Trump said during a Tuesday night rally in St. Clairsville, Ohio.

At least 41 were killed and more than 200 wounded after a trio of suicide bombers struck Istanbul’s Ataturk International Airport on Tuesday. Suspects are believed to have detonated explosives after authorities stopped them at a security checkpoint.

The incident is the latest terrorism woe for Turkey, which is battling a Kurdish insurgency to its south and has also assisted global efforts against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria.

Trump on Tuesday warned that “the terrorist threat has never been greater.”

“Our enemies are brutal and ruthless and will do anything to murder those who do not bend to their will,” the Trump campaign said in a statement.

“We must take steps now to protect America from terrorists, and do everything in our power to improve our security to keep America safe.”
