The New York Time corrected two of its stories on Monday that said Ben Carson had lived in public housing as a child.

According to the Washington Examiner, the story titled “Ben Carson Lived in Public Housing, but Critics Worry Over How He Will Lead It” previously said, "He has no expertise in housing policy, but he did spend part of his childhood in public housing, said a close friend, Armstrong Williams."

The newspaper later issued a correction after Williams said that Carson had not lived in government housing.

"Fancy Nancy Pelosi says he's not qualified; is she racist or just dumb?" he added.
