Dem senator slams Trump for misspelling in tweet about China

“This is madness. A 7:30am Saturday escalation of diplomatic crisis w China via Twitter, w misspelling.” Murphy wrote, linking to the now-deleted Trump tweet with the misspelled word.

Earlier Saturday, Trump tweeted calling China's seizure of a U.S. Navy drone an unprecedented act — except he wrote "unpresidented" the first time.

The president-elect deleted the tweet and reposted it shortly after, but many onlookers saved screenshots of the original version:


On Friday, China seized an unmanned U.S. drone in the South China Sea.

The Pentagon has demanded that the drone be returned.
