Clip of pastor laughing that ‘media said Joe Biden’s president’ goes viral
A short video clip of a pastor and televangelist mocking national media outlets for declaring Joe Biden the winner of the 2020 presidential election has gone viral.
During a service this weekend at Lord of Hosts Church in Omaha, Neb., pastor Kenneth Copeland referenced the election, declaring: “The media said what?! The media said Joe Biden is the president” before exploding in uproarious laughter.
Members of the congregation are seen egging Copeland on, clapping and standing as they laugh together in apparent mockery of Biden’s projected victory.

“Laughter is a deterrent to pain,” Copeland explained at one point during Sunday’s sermon. “Your physical brain and body cannot tell the difference between a put-on laugh and a real belly laugh.”
He then spent a full minute leading the audience in a demonstration of “put on” laughter.
“The Associated Press said that Joe Biden is president. Ha!” he continued, laughing again. “Uh huh. Yeah, that’s right. He’s going to be president and Mickey Mouse is going to be King.”
Copeland and his wife Gloria were tapped in 2016 to be part of a Trump administration “Faith and Culture National Advisory Board.”
Both have been outspoken supporters of the president, who during his first term experienced strong support from prominent evangelical Christian leaders like Billy Graham and Jerry Falwell Jr.
Trump has yet to concede the race to Biden, who has been projected as the winner by several media organizations.
