An earthquake shook portions of California on Wednesday morning, prompting jokes on social media that it was caused by residents celebrating former President TrumpDonald TrumpTrump vows 'No more money for RINOS,' instead encouraging donations to his PAC Federal judge rules 'QAnon shaman' too dangerous to be released from jail Pelosi says Capitol riot was one of the most difficult moments of her career MORE's term coming to an end. 

The quake, which was measured at 3.5 on the richter scale, was felt in portions of Los Angeles and Southern California. 

The U.S. Geological Survey reported the quake, which measured nearly 12-miles deep, struck in Willowbrook, Calif., about 13 miles south of L.A., according to the Sacramento Bee

California, which was represented by Vice President Harris in the U.S. Senate before she was sworn in Wednesday, is a Democratic stronghold and voted overwhelmingly for Biden over Trump.
