Obama hits golf course in California
While Washington was facing a deep freeze Friday, President Obama was eager to hit the links on the West Coast.
Fresh off a Thursday fundraising swing through San Jose and Los Angeles, Obama flew to Palm Springs, Calif., for a weekend golf getaway.
{mosads}Obama’s motorcade arrived at Porcupine Creek golf course, owned by Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison, in nearby Rancho Mirage just over 20 minutes after Air Force One landed on Friday.
The president is hoping to play several rounds this weekend before a summit that starts Monday with Asian leaders at the Sunnylands estate.
Obama last teed up at Porcupine Creek, situated on a private, 249-acre estate, last June with longtime friends Bobby Titcomb, Greg Orme and Mike Ramos.
