“There is no one who is more undermining the legitimacy of the Trump presidency than Donald Trump himself,” Schiff said on CNN’s “State of the Union.”
Schiff, who serves as a ranking member on the House Intelligence Committee, said Trump’s statement following Friday’s intelligence report shows his “continued refusal to accept the obvious.”
"It’s still more denial about what took place,” Schiff said of Trump’s refusal to “accept the core conclusions of the intelligence community that this was Russia.”
On Friday, the intelligence community issued a declassified report that concluded Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered an influence campaign in an effort to help Trump win the White House.
