“So sad to hear of the terrorist attack in Egypt. U.S. strongly condemns. I have great confidence that President Al Sisi will handle situation properly,” Trump wrote on Twitter.


State TV reported that one of the blasts killed 25 people in the city of Tanta on Sunday, while another bombing in Alexandria killed at least two people. The Islamic State in Iraq & Syria (ISIS) claimed responsibility for the attack.

Sisi traveled to Washington, D.C. last week to meet with Trump for the first time since Trump took the Oath of Office.
