In President Trump’s first 99 days in office, he tweeted 470 times from the @realDonaldTrump Twitter account, according to a Friday ABC News analysis

The analysis reviewed the content of the account’s tweets, the occasions that Trump tweeted the most, the times of day messages were sent and whether they came from an iPhone or Android device.

Trump said “Democrat” or its derivatives three dozen times, while only mentioning “Republican” or the “GOP” 18 times, or half as much, according to the ABC analysis. His tweets about Democrats are usually attacks on the party.

Trump has targeted the media in his tweets frequently to date, at least 65 times — those tweets make up almost 14 percent of his posts while in office, ABC reported.

He directly addressed the “media" 32 times and "fake news” 30 times. Out of his media mentions, he tweeted about the @nytimes 17 times, @foxandfriends 11 times and @FoxNews on nine occasions.

On policy issues, Trump appeared to mention immigration the most, with 41 tweets on the topic. Healthcare got 36 Twitter mentions.

The news site classifies 103 of his tweets as "promotional," in which he touts certain actions, events, initiatives or meetings.

Two days are tied for the most tweets: Inauguration Day on Jan. 20 and last Thursday, the 98th day of his presidency, during which Trump tweeted 12 times.

Trump’s busiest week on the social media site with 47 tweets, from Jan. 29 to Feb. 4, came after he announced his first executive order limiting foreign nationals from seven predominantly-Muslim countries from entering the U.S.

His two other busiest weeks came in early to mid-February, after Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn resigned as the White House national security adviser and when Trump’s meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at Mar-a-Lago coincided with a North Korean missile test.

ABC’s analysis methodology is derived from data taken directly from the president’s Twitter handle @realDonaldTrump, excluding both deleted and retweeted tweets on the account. Trump also has access to the Twitter handle @POTUS. ABC first compiled the data, which was checked by a CrowdTangle analytics tool.
