White House aide Kellyanne Conway on Tuesday assured Americans that White House press briefings will “always” be held.
“There will always be White House briefings,” Conway said during an interview on “Fox & Friends.”
“As you’ve seen, that we’ve had Cabinet secretaries and other administration officials going up to the podium and being part of the briefings when the issue sets that they’re working on are actually part of the news of the day.”
{mosads}Conway added, however, that not every press briefing has to be on camera.
“There are many audio briefings that many press secretaries in the past have given,” she said.
Earlier this month, President Trump suggested he might cancel “all future ‘press briefings ‘” in the name of accuracy.
“As a very active President with lots of things happening, it is not possible for my surrogates to stand at podium with perfect accuracy!” Trump tweeted.
