More and more Americans support Congress pursuing impeachment proceedings against President Trump, according to a new poll.

Support for Trump’s impeachment rose 5 points in the Politico–Morning Consult poll, from 38 percent to 43 percent, in the last week. Forty-five percent now say the president should continue with business as usual.

Pollsters found that more than half of voters who said they want to see Trump impeached say they want impeachment proceedings to go ahead “regardless of whether he committed an impeachable offense or not.”

Trump’s approval ratings also appear to be stabilizing in the poll. Forty-five percent of voters approve of the job Trump is doing for the second consecutive week, up from a low of 41 percent during Trump’s first overseas trip earlier this month.
